Arbitration, Mediation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution

OCM is comfortable in any forum, whether it be a trial in state or federal court, an administrative agency, an arbitration proceeding or a mediation. OCM offers experience serving as an arbitrator, mediator, and court-appointed receiver.

OCM regularly appears in arbitrations and mediations, and its partner, Thomas O’Connor, has served as an arbitrator, mediator and receiver in a number of matters, including:

  • Arbitrator – a complex dispute involving payments due on a large New Hampshire land fill; several employment contract disputes; and a dispute between owners of closely held business. Mr. O’Connor is on the panel of the American Arbitration Association.
  • Mediator – a number of complex commercial litigation cases, including claims against broker/dealers, claims involving shareholder disputes and intra-company disputes between principals.
  • Receiver – appointed by the Massachusetts Superior Court Business Litigation Session to wind up the business affairs of a distressed market and a real estate development in Weston.
